Application Architectures

The ArcGIS platform provides a comprehensive suite of applications and services that leverages standards to promote interoperability with enterprise IT frameworks. This enables users to incorporate GIS in any application on a variety of computing and mobile devices and use geographic information accessed from databases and Web services kept in almost any format.

There are four core architecture patterns that can be implemented with the ArcGIS platform:
